While there are many benifits to living in St. George rather then Cedar City the primary reason people enjoy St. George real estate as opposed to Cedar City is the Winter weather. St. George has super mild winters with very rare snowfall if any at all.
Cedar City real estate is cheaper but you have to deal 4 full seasons including a winter with snow fall. Most people don't mind and our weather is compairable to Salt Lake or Provo. I personally don't mind the winter so the cheaper prices (as much as 25%) appeal to me. I also enjoy the small town feel of Cedar City and the fact that we have almost no traffic!
